Dear parents, if you would like your child to study at Novopecherska school, please take part in the entrance competition.

There are the following steps to be taken:

• Filling in the entrance form (in the end of April, after announcement of the entrance campaign).
• Paying the registration fee, which provides organisational and methodological support. It is 2800 UAH. Non refundable.
• Keep in touch. Within five working days after receipt of the funds to the School you will be contacted by representatives of the School to agree a convenient time for entrance examinations.
• Pass the entrance test.
• Take the child to School enrollment.

1st stage - testing

Students complete a complex test that detects their current level of academic excellence in the following subjects:

• Maths
• Ukrainian language and literature
• English

Education in Novopecherska School is Ukrainian speaking, so speaking and understanding is a prerequisite for admission. 

If the student does not complete the test sufficiently, Novopecherska school reserves the right to refuse a child admission for the 2016-2017 academic year.

If your child successfully passes a test, we will invite them to the second stage of entrance examinations.

2nd stage - interview

During the interview with the child the teacher and the psychologist assess the child's readiness to learn based on the following criteria:

• motivation to learn;
• the overall level of teaching and cognitive processes (attention, memory, imagination);
• features of the child's thought processes;
• the emotional state of the child.

Communication with parents
Along with the interview with the child both parents will communicate with a representative of the school administration, because we believe parents should be active participants in the educational process. Novopecherska school takes not only the child, but also the entire family with its values ​​and principles. That is why the presence of both parents is mandatory.

If the student does not complete the interview to the standard required, Novopecherska school reserves the right to refuse a child admission for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Enrollment in Novopecherska School

Following the announcement of a positive result on the entrance examinations parents or guardians must confirm their intention to study by signing the contract of study within 2 weeks.

At the time of signing the contract you must provide the following:

• A statement from a parent (provided at the office with a contract);
• Photocopy of birth certificate of the child. You must provide Ukrainian certificate or notarised Ukrainian translation;
• Copy of passport (1, 2 pages and pages of registration) and identification code of the parent who signs the contract.

After signing the agreement, by September 1st you must provide the following:

• Medical card child from school. Normally kept in school.
• A photocopy of the child's immunisation card (Form F063). You can get this in the clinic or from your pediatrician;
• Medical health certificate and the child's readiness for school certificate (Form F086). You can get this from your pediatrician.
• The personal file of previous studies. The certificate on the willingness to accept your child can be collected from reception. You should take it to the last place of study in order for them to issue their personal file.
