The Student Council Leader Election

Congratulations to the newly elected leader of the Student Council of the Novopecherska School, Maria Holovashchenko!

The election campaign ended up with an exciting debate among three candidates who fought for an honourable and responsible post. According to the results, the students voted and chose their leader. It was a fierce and fair fight, the outcome of which was difficult to predict.

A total of 150 children from grades 5-11 took part in the voting.

Our students already understand well what a circle of influence is and how important it is to make a conscious choice. So they demonstrated it. The election of the leader is a good practice of democratic skills and a responsible position, which conscious citizens of Ukraine will definitely need.

Here is what Valeriia Gura, who is the leader of the communication department of the Student Council, tells about this event:

"Every team needs a person who motivates and sets the development trajectory. Every year, the Student Council chooses an inspired leader who is a driver of change and a representative of student interests. This year, all middle and high school students had a chance to elect this person through general voting.

The day before, a debate was held between three candidates for this position. A strong leader for a strong school is Mykhailo Isupov, a leader of hearts is Maria Golovashchenko, and a representative of intelligent leadership is Volodymyr Kuzmiy.

Each of them had a key idea:

Mykhailo wanted to give the school a half-year full of activities and emotions for the students.

Maria proposed involving students in interschool relations and organizing joint events with other educational institutions.

Volodymyr insisted on constructiveness and clarity, and therefore offered to jointly create a clear action plan for the academic year.

Such a conscious approach from the candidates captivated everyone! But, of course, the debate could not pass without tricky questions. I was especially interested in the question of book recommendations.
